Position: MEP Specialist

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience + vehicle

Hours: 40 /week MON-FRI 08:30-17:00

Location: M25 South/South West with some travel to Central Support, Fareham.

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for a proven MEP Specialist to join our Contracts and Renewables team in Fareham!

Using your already high level of plumbing and heating knowledge, you’ll be supporting the Contracts Manager and trading teams by managing contract and project quotations that deliver strong commercial value. You’ll be responsible for producing accurate quotes within agreed timelines, working closely with suppliers to secure the best terms.

You’ll maintain a clear pipeline of quotes, track progress with customers and branches, and keep the Commercial team updated on supplier agreements and follow-ups. Another key aspect is ensuring that high-value contracts have the right terms and conditions in place before work begins.

As our MEP Specialist, you'll be:

  • Providing branches and the Trade Support Team with support on project and contract quotations.

  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver excellent service.

  • Tracking and managing leads through their full lifecycle to shape future opportunities.

  • Following internal processes and using systems effectively to manage leads and quotes.

  • Ensuring projects deliver strong net profitability, considering all factors.

  • Producing accurate quotes within agreed deadlines.

It is essential that you have:

  • Extensive Plumbing & Heating knowledge.

  • Awareness of plumbing codes and practices in line with current legislation.

  • Understanding of system design and schematics.

  • Strong knowledge of the renewables sector including MVHR, ASHPs, and Air Conditioning.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation, networking, problem solving and closing skills.

  • In depth understanding of the company’s products and those available.

  • Aptitude for listening to customer and stakeholder needs and translating into tailored solutions.

  • Ability to develop strong, collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders.

  • A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and take action independently.

  • Efficiency in managing time, calendar management and prioritising tasks to maximise output.
