Position: Driver / Branch Assistant

Salary: £26,832 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week MON-FRI 08:30-17:00/07:00 - 15:30 (ROTA) *NO WEEKENDS!

Location: Williams, Tunbridge Jones Business Park, Cradock Road, Reading RG2 0JT

We're looking for a Driver / Branch Assistant to join our friendly and busy team in Reading! You’ll be involved in both the preparation of goods for deliveries and the deliveries themselves, so a good attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are a must!

Previous Forklift experience and qualifications would be ideal, but are not essential, we provide full in-house Forklift Training for our staff members!

As our Driver / Branch Assistant, you'll be:

  • Delivering orders safely, efficiently and with the excellent customer service

  • Using forklifts (if qualified / once we train you) and other mechanical aids

  • Picking goods and preparing orders for delivery

  • Receipting, storing and replenishing goods

  • Undertaking inventory control

  • Helping to keep the warehouse clean, tidy and a safe

  • General branch duties to support the team in the successful running of the branch

Ideally, you are:

  • Highly accurate in your approach to work with good attention to detail

  • Able to work in what can sometimes be a physically challenging role

  • Respectful in adhering to Health & Safety guidelines at all times

  • Keen to meet deadlines with a flexible approach to daily tasks

  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service

  • A great team player who makes a positive contribution
