Position: Warehouse & Customer Service Assistant

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum DOE

Hours: 40 /week MON-FRI 08:30-17:00 *NO WEEKENDS

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for an Warehouse & Customer Service Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Fareham!

This is a varied and active role which includes: Predominantly carrying out warehouse duties (70%) and occasionally serving customers on the trade counter and over the phone (15%), and making deliveries (15%). Previous Forklift experience and qualifications would be ideal, but are not essential, as we provide full in-house Forklift Training for our staff members!

If you also have previous exposure of working within a plumbing and heating merchants, builders' merchants or wholesaler, trade counter, or on the tools within the plumbing and heating trade, we would LOVE to hear from you!

As our Warehouse & Customer Service Assistant, you'll be:

• Carrying out Warehouse maintenance, including stock rotation and general housekeeping.
• Serving on the trade counter and handling incoming enquiries.
• Accurately picking orders in preparation for delivery
• Operating Forklifts (if qualified / once we train you).
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Assisting with the general upkeep of the branch.
• Carrying out deliveries in the local area.
• Processing quotes.

• Highly accurate in your approach to work with good attention to detail.
• Respectful in adhering to Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
• Keen to support the team with a flexible approach to daily tasks.
• Able to work in what can be a physically challenging role.
• IT literate with good numeracy and communication skills.
